The 5th and last Transnational Meeting of the SWING – Signs for Work Inclusion Gain (Project number: 2017-1-IT01-KA202-006157) project, took place on 16 and 17 June 2020. Due to the Covid-19 health emergency, the meeting, which was planned to take place in Palermo on April 2020, was realized to the Zoom online platform, which despite the difficulties of the historical period we are experiencing, allowed the partnership to meet one last time and to be able to discuss the last steps of this interesting and ambitious project.

The aim of this meeting was to analyze the last aspects related to the conclusion and presentation of the final results that we remember, consist of a vocabulary of the Italian, Spanish, German and Hungarian sign language in 3 different working areas (furniture, kitchen and tourism). The computer platform and the mobile app are now ready. The partnership awaits further indications for uploading the app to the App Store for iOS and Android.

A further update concerns the final stages of the project which, due to the emergency, had to face a slowdown in the organization of the final dissemination event. For this reason, the National Agency gave us the permission to extend the project for two months allowing us to organize the italian, spanish and hungarian Multiplier Events, which will take place in June, online.

The Multiplier Event in Germany had shortly already taken place in March before the lockdown.

So by now we’re getting close to the end of the project and despite this, SWING has still a lot to offer for the future.

The success of this project was determined not only by the strength and cooperation of the partnership, but above all by the availability of many local stakeholders who allowed the experimentation and which represent the kind of target that will be able to take advantage of this unusual vocabulary that can be really useful in the job field.

The project has not yet ended. For this reason, for more information continue to follow our social pages on Facebook and Twitter.

The COVID-19 emergency did not stop the consortium of the SWING project, which over the past few months has continued to meet periodically to complete the latest results of the project.
Yesterday May 6th, the partners of FEDERSID, CEIPES, CETEM, ILI and MUNKA KOR met again virtually for important updates.
In addition, the last Transnational Meeting of the project will take place on June 16 and will be virtually realized for the occasion.
Soon, interesting news will be presented and launched!

Our 4th Transnational Meeting in Germany!

Our 4th Transnational Meeting in Germany!

SWING project is proceeding very well!

On 26th and 28th of November 2019 the 4th Transnational Meeting of the SWING project took meeting took place in Nuremberg, in the headquarter of the German partner, FAU – University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg).

We are very happy for the work done on these days, everything continues right on schedule.

This ERASMUS+ project is aimed to create a dictionary of 4 sign language (Italian, Spanish, German and Hungarian), usable and accessible to all through a web platform and a mobile app.

The partners involved in the implementation of this project are: the coordinators FEDERSID from Italy, CETEM (Spain), ILI (Germany)  CEIPES (from Italy, too) and Munka-KörAlapítvány (Hungary).

Following the schedule, the meeting was the occasion to check the status of work about the web platform that will be ready in the following weeks and the mobile application. The output leader is CETEM for the platform and in the designing of the mobile app, the output leader is ILI.

These days, dedicated to the meeting, have been very productive and the partners had the opportunity to verify that the work is proceeding successfully.

Moreover, it was a good occasion to know a good pratice in Nuremberg. The VET school BBW is very active in the field of training for students with disabilities, too, in culinary, tourism and furniture.

Thanks to ILI partners, from FAU university, we had the occasion to know closely this practice.

The good relation and the great collaboration between the partners play for sure an important role in the ambitious achievement of the relevant objectives.

We can see the incredible results of these products and we are looking forward to present this outputs at the next and last transnational meeting in Palermo.
